Duggal Visual Solutions & PDN The Environment Photo Contest Now Open

Duggal Visual Solutions and Photo District News are proud to announce a new photo contest that you don’t want to miss.

The Environment Photo Contest encourages photographers to submit their interpretation of the environment, with no creative or aesthetic restrictions. By pushing the role of the image as a cultural, social, environmental and political snapshot, this contest aims to encourage and elevate appreciation for the world around us. We ask all photographers from around the world to come together and inspire us to nurture and cherish our planet by capturing its beauty with their images.

The grand prize winner will receive the inaugural Duggal Image Maker Award presented at the PhotoPlus Expo, along with a platter of fantastic prizes and exposure – a beautiful Duggal HD C-Print of their image, a Samsung NX300 Digital Camera, a feature in the Duggal Newsletter and much, much more. Three Runners-up will receive HD C-Prints and great prize packages as well.

We are excited to offer premium services like our new HD C-Prints, the highest resolution prints in the world, not only because they set us apart as a company, but also because they give our clients the power to amaze and excel in their arena,” says Michael Duggal, COO of Duggal Visual Solutions. “There has been very little innovation in the photographic printing space since the introduction of the Lambdas and Light jets, so with our HD C-Prints we’ve created something truly revolutionary that merges the beauty of continuous tone photographic prints, the archival qualities of photo paper and an unmatched 6,100 apparent DPI.

Photography and the environment are two of my deepest passions, from the roots of Duggal Visual Solutions to Lumi•Solair™ and the Duggal Greenhouse. By unlocking the inspiration that lies in the still image and intertwining it with an environmentally focused lens, we will learn and encourage others to respect our planet and cherish its natural beauty,” says Baldev Duggal, President of Duggal Visual Solutions. “Go Green, Live the Dream.

The environment is something we can all relate to and photography provides a visual platform for expressing our feelings about the environment and personal perspectives on how we are protecting — or even destroying — it natural beauty,” explains Lauren Wendle, VP/Group Publisher of Photo District News.  A single photograph can evoke great emotion and inspire people to act on those emotions and motivate them to do something positive.
