“The Fence” Comes To Boston

Like a microcosm of the borough it calls home, Brooklyn-based art cooperative United Photo Industries thrives on reaching new audiences by placing modern art in everyday urban life.

United Photo Industries’ 2013 installment of “The Fence” – a 5-foot tall, 500-foot long photographic display – is the very first outdoor exhibit of its magnitude in Boston. Located at the Rose F. Kennedy Greenway on Boston’s North End, The Fence features photos that best capture the essence of “Community.” It is featured in the Flash Forward Festival at the Fairmont Battery Wharf in May, and will remain on display through the summer.

In 2012, the 1000-foot-long inauguration of “The Fence” attracted more than 1 million visitors to Photoville, a pop-up photography village in Brooklyn Bridge Park, New York. Duggal Visual Solutions is proud to partner with United Photo Industries in creating and producing “The Fence,” as well as their other outstandingly innovative exhibits.
